Privacy

What we hold, and what we never do.

Last updated 19 August 2026.

No student data. Ever.

Marquee is an adults-only professional network. We do not collect, process, host or receive personally identifiable information about children, and no part of the product is designed for or directed to anyone under 18. If you are an educator, nothing about your students belongs on Marquee and there is nowhere to put it.

What we collect

  • Your account. Name, email address and password (stored only as a hash, by our authentication provider — we never see it).
  • Your professional profile. Anything you choose to publish: handle, topic, biography, location, talks, formats and fees. This is public by design — it is the page you hand to people.
  • Your bookings. Engagements, sessions, expenses, documents, purchase-order references and payment records, which both parties to an engagement can see.
  • Recordings you make. If you use Rehearsal Room, the audio you record is stored in a private folder that only your account can reach, and is sent to a speech-to-text provider to be turned into a transcript. It is not used to judge your delivery, it is not published anywhere, and you can delete it.
  • What you paste into the Studio. The material you give a Studio tool, and the output it returns, are stored against your account so you can come back to them, and are sent to the AI providers named below to produce that output.
  • Images you generate. The prompts you render and the resulting images, stored in the same private per-account folder.
  • Connections you make in person. Scanning another member’s Marquee code records that the two of you connected, and when. It records nothing about anyone who is not a Marquee member.
  • Basic technical logs. Requests to our servers, for security and to keep the thing running.

The list is never for sale.

We do not sell, rent or licence member lists, contact details or audience segments. A sponsor can pay to have a message delivered to a segment; they cannot buy the segment. Your name and contact details reach a partner only when you take an explicit action that says so, and never as a side effect of anything else.

Your work is not training data.

Your recordings, your uploads and the material you paste into the Studio are processed to give you back a result, and for nothing else. They are not used to train models, not licensed to anyone, and not used in advertising. Media on your card is played inside Marquee under a licence to play it — not to resell it and not to sublicense it.

Marquee does not clone voices. Stage Twin answers questions in text, drawn only from what you have published and the answers you have explicitly approved. There is no synthetic version of your voice or likeness anywhere in the product.

Who processes data for us

We use a small number of providers to operate the service. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

  • Supabase — hosting, database, file storage and authentication.
  • Stripe— payments and payouts. When you set up payouts you enter your identity and bank details on Stripe’s own hosted form. Marquee never sees or stores them; we hold only Stripe’s account reference and whether it is verified.
  • Anthropic— the language model behind the Studio’s writing tools and Stage Twin.
  • OpenAI — image rendering, and the transcription of Rehearsal Room recordings.

How long we keep it

Profile and booking records stay for as long as your account exists. Recordings, generated images and Studio runs stay until you delete them or delete your account. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting reasons — the fact that a payment happened, and for how much — survive account deletion, because the law requires it.

Your choices

You can edit or unpublish your profile at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and the personal data attached to it. Write to privacy@marqueespeaker.com and we will answer.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so here and date it. The commitments above are product constraints rather than preferences, and they are not the part we intend to change.
